Class Registration

Class Location: Pasadena Yacht Club- This class has been arranged through MARINE TRAWLER OWNERS ASSOCIATION

Members of the Trawler Rendezvous will complete the ASHI Basic CPR AED (Adult/Child/Infant) course and the "Stop the Bleed Course" (Stop Life Threatening Bleeding- HSI). In this course, we will cover:

• Sudden cardiac arrest and how to recognize an emergency
• CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for adult, child and infant patients
• AED (automated external defibrillator) use for adult, child and infant patients
• Airway obstruction (choking) for adult, child and infant patients
• Working as a team to provide rescue efforts
• Tourniquets
• Wound Packing
• Bleeding Control- Basic Bandages
• Improvised Tourniquets
• Shock
• Pressure bandages
• Donning/Doffing medical gloves

Digital certification cards are issued through Health and Safety Institute (HSI) and are valid for 2 years. Cards are issued via email within a week of completing your class.

Cost: $65 per person.

Special Note: For those persons that require a full CPR and & First Aid certification to meet the Coast Guard requirements, an additional option is available to complete the First Aid portion of that requirement. It will require completion of the blended (online)First Aid course. This is available by special arrangement and an additional fee of $25 per person.
