Meet Our Instructors

Keep the Beat CPR is fortunate to have a staff of talented instructors. Not only are they full of energy and excel at teaching, but they are all skilled EMTs and Fire Fighters. Having real world experience handling emergencies allows them to add valuable information and tips to each class. These folks know exactly what they are teaching because they have performed CPR and administered first aid countless times.

Caitlin

Caitlin

Hi everyone! My name is Caitlin and I proudly own KTB with my husband, Kevin. I am the voice you will hear when you call us and the name you’ll see when you reach out via email. I take care of the day-to-day needs of our growing business, mostly from our home base, while also caring for our growing children! Something you may not know is that I have my Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology! Not long after completing graduate school we took over Keep the Beat and I have never looked back! Knowing and teaching CPR is very important for many reasons, but, for me, it’s personal. My grandmother passed from a massive cardiac arrest event at a family member’s home back in 2013. My love for teaching comes from a very personal place and I feel that everyone should be prepared and know what to do in the event that someone, anyone, goes into cardiac arrest and you are in a position to help. You just never know, so let us help you be prepared and feel comfortable helping!

Kevin

Kevin

Kevin is our lead instructor and is BLS Training Center Faculty. This allows him to manage all aspects of our Heartsaver and BLS training programs. Kevin has been an EMT since 2000, having completed an EMT class on Long Island taught by his father, Mark Brenner. Kevin went on to attend the University of Maryland at Baltimore County where he earned a B.S in Emergency Health Services and his Maryland Paramedic License. He has volunteered as a paramedic with Huntington Community First Aid Squad (Huntington Station, NY) and Seat Pleasant Volunteer Fire Company in Prince George's County, MD. Since 2006 he has worked for Queen Anne's County Department of Emergency Services and is an EMS Lieutenant and Quality Assurance Officer. Two of his biggest accomplishments are completing his Eagle Scout, and having deployed to Super Storm Sandy as part of an Ambulance Strike Team.

Alli

Alli

Hi! My name is Alli.  I have been a Firefighter/EMT for 17 years.  I grew up in Chicago and the surrounding area, and then I moved to Maryland to further my college education.  I earned an Associate Degree in Art and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science.  I started my Fire Department career in Maryland by volunteering for Prince George’s County, which is where I now work full time.  I met Kevin while volunteering for Seat Pleasant Fire Department.  I am so happy to be involved with Keep the Beat CPR!  I truly believe we are helping others to save lives, and I really love bringing the passion I have for the fire service to students!

Angie

Angie

I have been a CPR/First Aid instructor for 25+ years and a nurse for 20. I started teaching for KTB in 2012 after I moved back to the Eastern Shore. In addition to CPR instruction, I currently teach for Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and tutor for Chesapeake College. Since that is not enough, I am currently going to school full time to finish my Doctorate of Nursing Practice. I live on the Eastern shore of Maryland with my husband and 2 daughters. Seeing the success of CPR in the clinical setting has made me a true advocate of learning these essential skills. CPR saves lives!!!
